Parent & Child Retreats .

A JOINT RETREAT LED BY

FOR PARENT & CHILD

Four days of intentional togetherness

There is something powerful about stepping away from everyday life and giving your child the gift of your full attention. For four unhurried days, this retreat creates space to slow down, reconnect, and spend meaningful time together without the usual routines and distractions.

We’ll begin on Friday evening with a gratitude ceremony and dinner, parents and children together, before moving into four days of presence, play, reflection, and genuine connection. Think of this as simply the beginning of a few days designed to help you see one another more clearly and create memories that remain long after you return home.

This retreat is for you if …

You're ready for more than another long weekend together.

You want to create memories that feel real, not simply another family photograph or vacation.

You want to create a relationship in which honesty feels safe.

One where your child knows they are loved and able to come to you without needing to perform or have the right answer.

You’re worried that everyday life is getting in the way of your relationship.

Between school, work, schedules, rules, and responsibilities, you spend plenty of time together but sometimes wonder whether you are truly connecting.

You want your child to know more of you, too.

Not only as the parent who manages, guides, and protects, but as a whole person with experiences, hopes, fears, and dreams of your own.

You want to understand your child more deeply.

You worry that you are seeing who you hope they might become instead of who they are today.

You know your future relationship is being shaped now.

These years are short. You want to guide your child without losing sight of the connection you hope will continue long after they leave home.

What to expect.

Four days of reconnection and renewal

  • Pre-retreat coaching session (30 min): A one-on-one session for the parent, with Patricia or Anna, helping you arrive ready and open for the experience ahead.

  • Post-retreat coaching session (45 min): A chance to reflect and integrate, redeemable within four weeks of the retreat.

  • A beautiful, retreat-style setting thoughtfully designed to help you slow down, breathe deeply, and truly connect.

  • Guided conversations skillfully facilitated to nurture trust, spark curiosity, and build a stronger bond.

  • Out of your heads, into your bodies: Conscious movement, breathwork, and energy-based practice, built for parent and child to do together, not just talk about together.

  • Special activities, included: A sound bath & a pizza cooking class.

  • Free time, your way: Built-in unstructured time each day, the beach, or the pool. You can also pick to add on activities for an extra cost (e.g. massage, surfing, and other).

  • 4 days / 3 nights, all meals: Accommodation for one parent and one child, plus meals from Friday dinner through Monday lunch, at the retreat venue.

  • Co-facilitation, two ways of working: Patricia brings conscious parenting coaching and guided, trust-building conversation. Anna brings transpersonal therapy, yoga, and somatic awareness.

FOR THE KIDS

So… what’s in it for me?

Parents, this part is for your child. Read it together, or hand them the screen.

Will there be kids my age?

Yes! This retreat is for ages 10 to 18, and we shape every activity so it fits your age. Curious who’s coming? Ask us and we’ll tell you who’s signed up so far. :)

Will this actually be fun?

Yes, we promise! Anna and Patricia have run more than 15 events for kids your age, and we know what works. You won’t just sit and think. You’ll move, play, and try new things. There are lots of breaks and free time, too. Most kids leave asking, “When can I come back?” Don’t take our word for it, though. Check out what past participants said below.

Wait, am I spending my whole weekend in a parenting workshop?

Not at all! This weekend is about you. It’s a chance to figure out what matters most to you right now and have your parent’s full attention while they really listen. No phones, no distractions, just time for you.

Will I have to share private stuff in front of everyone?

Nope. Most activities are just you and your parent, one-on-one. We’ll have some group circle time to share thoughts and ideas, but you only talk if you want to. Totally your call.

What kids like you are saying

  • "I was a little apprehensive going into the retreat with my dad, but I'm so glad I went. What I loved most was learning so many things about him that I had no idea about. One of my favorite moments was a painting we made together. He painted one side and I painted the other, and if you look at it now, you'd never guess two different people made it. It's so cool. The partner yoga was awesome too. The best part is that since the retreat, we've had one-on-one time at least once a quarter, even if it's just the two of us grabbing coffee on a Sunday. I know that time is there for us, and I really look forward to it. That's 100% thanks to the retreat. To any teenager thinking about going: do it. It's totally worth it."

    Emma, 17

  • "My favorite memory from the retreat is a dance we did together. You might think: a dance?! But a professional dancer walked us through every single step, and it was hilarious. We laughed so hard my dad actually fell on the floor. Memories for life!"

    Camila, 14

  • "I loved the opportunity to explore aspects of my relationship with my mom that I hadn’t thought of or acknowledged yet. The experience brought us closer together and i’m very grateful for it."

    Maddie, 16

  • ""What I loved the most about the parent & child retreat was drawing , the hikes, hanging out with the other kids and spending time with my mom. Also making pizza’s!!"

    Margarida, 13

Kind Words from Parents

  • “The Branch Out conscious parent retreat allowed me to share and learn so much about myself in a short time and within a safe place. It pushed me in the right direction for understanding more about the effects of my actions and most of all, about the unmet needs from my past.”

    Emma A, Mother of 2

  • "My experience at Branch Out in Alentejo was very special. I loved the simple country living and the amazingly delicious vegetarian food, all harvested on site. But the most important part of the weekend was the time I spent working on my relationship with my daughter. We opened up communication lines and increased our mutual trust. Patricia is a wonderful facilitator and coach. I highly recommend this for any parent and their child."

    Kelly P., father of a 14-year-old daughter

  • "Our father-daughter weekend was magical in so many ways. We had fun together, going deeper to discover more about ourselves and each other, and connecting with other fathers and daughters. Most importantly, I feel our connection is deeper and richer than before. Thank you!!"

    B. Flagg, Father of a 12-year-old

  • “At the closing ceremony of the mother-daughter retreat, my daughter committed to staying true to herself. As her mother, I will always remind myself to make sure that I don't become the one who gets in the way of her being herself.”

    Iris X, Mother of a 14-year-old daughter

  • “I always felt that I had an amazing relationship with my son. But this retreat gave me tools to keep improving on it, listen deeper, and see his life through his eyes.”

Jason N, father of a teenage boy

  • "It was really beneficial to be able to focus on one of my children for 48 hours, and for that focus to be guided in a structured, fun, and thought-provoking manner. My daughter and I both enjoyed the experience and feel we learned a little bit more about one another as a result."

    Father of 3

  • "My daughter and I had a wonderful experience connecting with each other and the other parents and children during our retreat. Thanks to Patricia for facilitating just the right combination of sharing and feeling exercises alongside movement, creative expression, good food, and fun! I highly recommend these two days for any parent and their child."

    Tony D., father of a 15-year-old daughter

  • "Having Patricia guiding me through my parenting journey was an amazing experience. She helped me build a deeper connection with my daughter, and we got to know each other so much better. The parent-child retreat is a wonderful and unique experience!"

    Salome C., mother of a 15-year-old daughter
